Cassper Nyovest’s manager, Tlee speaks on the need for South Africans to embrace Amapiano, and make it big as Afrobeat is to West Africa.
The genre is the reigning and the biggest sound in South Africa and lots of artists are riding on the wave.
Even the rapper seem to have dumped Hip Hop for piano, though he still has interest in making more hip hop songs.
Taking to Twitter, Tlee said: “Amapiano could be to SA what HipHop is to the NY-US, what Reggae is to Jamaica, what house music is to Chicago, what Afrobeat is to West Africa, what K-pop is to Korea, what Blues & Jazz is to New Orleans & what Kwaito is to our heritage. We should love & embrace its growth”
